Police have launched an investigation after a man shot at a property in Sheffield on Saturday morning.
Officers were called to a house on Elmham Road in Darnall after reports of a firearms discharge between 10:30 and 11:00 BST. According to police, a male passenger got out of a silver Mercedes, shot at the property and then was driven away.
Officers found evidence of a firearms discharge at the scene, but no injuries were reported.
Increased Police Presence
Superintendent Sarah Gilmour said there would be an increased police presence in the area.
"This was another reckless act involving a firearm in our community and, while I am glad that no one was injured, I am all too aware that this is often not the case," she said.
"We will not allow gun crime to be normalised in South Yorkshire, but to eradicate firearms offences, we need your help."
